SALT LAKE CITY (ABC4) — Hot off her incredible performances during the Paris 2024 Summer Olympic Games, American gymnast Simone Biles will be bringing her athletic talents to Utah.
Biles will be performing during the Gold Over America Tour that will be making its way across the United States starting in September. The tour includes a show at the Maverik Center in West Valley City on Monday, Sept. 23.
The Gold Over America Tour promises an “exhilarating display” of athleticism and high-energy choreography in a pop concert-style spectacle. Led by Biles, the show has an all-star cast including Paris 2024 teammates Jade Carey and Jordan Chiles.
Team USA men’s gymnasts Paul Juda, Fred Richard, Brody Malone, and Stephen Ndeoroscik – the pommel horse specialist who made waves for his Clark Kent-esque transformation — are also scheduled to be performing.
The U.S. gymnasts are all coming off a spectacular performance in Paris, where all together they claimed three gold medals, one silver, and six bronze.
The women won gold in the team event while the men took home bronze — the first U.S. men’s team medal since 2008. Biles went on to win individual gold in the all-around and the vault and silver in the floor routine.
Teammate Jade Carey won bronze in the vault event while Jordan Chiles claimed bronze in the floor, leading to a now iconic moment with Biles and gold medalist Rebeca Andrade on the podium. Nedoroscik rounded out his Olympic competition with a bronze medal on the men’s individual pommel horse.
Not listed among the athletes performing in the Gold Over America Tour is teammate and medalist Suni Lee. Lee helped the Team USA women claim gold in the team event before going on to take home two more bronze medals in the individual all-around and the uneven bars.
