Suspects wanted in Decatur burglary


DECATUR, Ill. (WCIA) — The Decatur Police Department and Macon County Crime Stoppers are on the lookout for two suspects involved in a burglary.

In the early morning hours of July 30, the Dollar General on East Eldorado Street was broken into. Police found evidence of forced entry to the sliding glass doors, but no suspects in the area.

Security footage captured three individuals. One of them broke into the building while the other two stayed outside as lookouts. Then, two of the suspects removed cash registers from the business.

One suspect is described as a white male or female. At the time of the crime, he or she wore a black hooded sweatshirt, white shorts, and black tennis shoes with three white stripes.

Another suspect was seen wearing a black hooded sweatshirt, black ripped jeans, and white tennis shoes.
