LOCAL FORECAST AHEAD:

A cold front coming through today could bring a few spotty showers through Wednesday morning, but severe weather concerns are unfounded at this point, which is some good news.

Temperatures today will rise quickly with the heat and humidity, but then as the front moves through, that stunts the rising temperatures and they’ll trend in the other direction. You see that most noticeably with heat index values showing a sharp change this afternoon with time.

In general, rain chances really won’t be present too much over the next 7 days. Can’t discount a little bit of activity through Wednesday morning, with more chances heading into next week possible, but uncertain.

The cold front will move through and bring in less humid air for us, setting us up for a nice day on Wednesday.

While the air is cooler, the air will also be drier. That’s good news as it can help fight back the humidity.

We’ll notice highs below normal for potentially 5-7 days, with upper 70s and low 80s on the table. We’ve got another reinforcing shot of cooler air coming on Friday. Rain not expected but it helps to secure the cooler air into the weekend.
