New Danville OSF President named

DANVILLE, Ill. (WCIA) — A president has been named for OSF Health Care’s Sacred Heart Medical Center.

The permanent president will be J.T. Barnhart. He has served as the interim president since last month.

“I have enjoyed getting to know the Danville community and look forward to continuing to learn about how we can meet the area’s health care needs,” Barnhart said. “OSF Sacred Heart has made tremendous strides in recent years in improving patient experience, quality and stewardship. We remain committed to that pursuit.”

The previous president, Ned Hill, resigned in July.

Barnhart has worked for OSF since February of last year. He will continue working as the president of OSF HealthCare Heart of Mary Medical Center in Urbana, Illinois in addition to his new role.
