DEWITT COUNTY, Ill. (WCIA) — A man is under arrest in DeWitt County after authorities said he broke into a home and assaulted the homeowner.
Officials with the DeWitt County Sheriff’s Office said Kenny Mason III committed a home invasion on Aug. 31 on Airport Road. During that invasion, Mason allegedly beat the homeowner to the point that they were hospitalized with serious injuries.
A no-bond arrest warrant was issued for Mason as a result of the investigation. The Sheriff’s Office asked for help via Facebook in locating Mason on Wednesday.
Since making that post, the Sheriff’s Office said Mason was located and was taken into custody.
